Petition seeking travel ban on Bashundhara MD: Order on Oct 10

The Dhaka court has today set October 10 to make an order regarding the petition for a travel bans against Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan anvir in a matter brought over the rape as well as the murder of a student who was living in a house in Dhaka's Gulshan.

Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Yasmin Ara set the date following a brief hearing in the presence of Investigator Golam Moktar Md Ashrafuddin of Police Bureau of Investigation

The IO filed an application on the 13th of September in order to obtain an order the issuance of a travel ban for Anvir.

Bashundhara MD was sued. Bashundhara MD was indicted on allegations of committing crimes on the 6th of September. The father of the MD, as well as Chairman of the company Ahmed Akbar Sobhan alias Shah Alam along with six other members were accused in the matter on the charge of being involved in the crime.

The six others accused include Shah Alam's wife Afroza Begum, Anvir's wife Sabrina Sayem, model Faria Mahbub Piyasha Saifa Rahman Mim and the landlord of the flat Ibrahim Ahmed Ripon and his wife Sharmim.

The older cousin of the victim's sister filed the complaint before the Tribunal for Women and Children's Repression 8, Dhaka.

After hearing the judge Mafroza Parvin decided to take note of the case and recorded the complaint's testimony and ordered the Officer in Charge for the Gulshan Police Station file this complaint in the manner of a normal instance.

The court documents stated that victims were raped prior dying because her body were contaminated with blood and injuries as well as her clothing was tear-strewn, something that police reported in the inquest report.
